I think this'll be a good forum in the future, when we have more members. At this point, I'm slightly interested; I often don't do very well in large group roleplays.

Maybe we could have a few 1x1 roleplay threads?

I think this a great idea! I love playing roleplay games. Maybe to avoid large groups each game has a set number of people that can sign up.

This isn't going to be a role play area. It's for roleplaying games like Clue and Hunger Games. And another other role play games we can put into a forum version.

I think she was saying is it possible to have some games that are two people.

Oh, well if that's the case. We'll see. Because right now the games we're thinking of require more than four players. We definitely hope to come up with games that could accommodate various player size.

We could totally do a Survivor game!

If this subforum for special RPG mafia events, I like that idea! I was just about to suggest Survivor as a theme.

Is Gloom a reference to the card game? If so, then YES. I've only played the card game twice but I really like it.

Yes, we plan in the future to host possibly monthly RPG Events for special points and prizes.

EDIT: And yes, I was referencing the card game Gloom.

That reminds me, I have an idea for an annual special event mafia game; I mentioned it in the "Favorite Strategies" thread, I think. Is there a thread for posting Special Event suggestions?

I don't believe we have one. But we do have a suggestions thread.

Alright; it'll probably be awhile before I make the suggestion on the suggestions thread, though.

Hey there! I think it'll be awesome, obviously, and I know there are several others who do.

I'd like to come up with more game ideas. I really love the idea of somehow transforming Castle Panic into a role playing game as well.

Never heard of Castle Panic. Sounds interesting though.

Castle Panic is a co-op game. It doesn't originally have roleplaying in it, but I think I could turn it into one.

Here's the summary on the back of the box:

"The forest is filled with all sorts of monsters. Goblins, Orcs, and even mighty Trolls lurk in the shadows. The watched and waited as you built your castle and trained your soldiers, but now they've gathered their artmy and are marching out of the woods. Can you work with your friends to defend your castle against the horde, or will the monsters tear down your walls and destroy the precious Castle Towers? You will all win or lose together, but in the end only one player will be declared the Master Slayer!"

I found there is a Table Top episode about it. I'll definitely be watching that later tonight!

I'm thinking of taking a lord of the rings siege type of approach to it. I think it would be a lot of fun to take the theme of the game, but change the rules to fit a roleplaying style type of fantasy game.

I think it would be fun to turn a lot of board games into special events.

Could you imagine a Settler of Catan special event? ...I'm not sure how that would work, though.

I like the concept of a "Betrayal at House on the Hill"-themed game as well. (I imagine it would be similar to the Clue game, though, except the map of the house would not be given beforehand; players would find out the house's map as they explore the upper story, main floor and basement. Certain rooms would trigger special events as well.)

I'm not sure how settle of catan would work either. I've actually never played it.

Settlers of Catan is a lot of fun, though it has a reputation as a really competitive "friendship-ruining" game (like Monopoly). I haven't played it enough times to experience any ruined friendships XD.

I think it could work by adding resources to the game. ... A Mafia game with resources added in sounds kind of terrifying. (That's why I'm interested in playing a game with a Baker sometime soon.)

Intriguing. I suggest we keep dumping ideas in here, along with how many minimum players we would require.

Gloom requires a minimum of 2, but can go up to 4 without expansion packs. I'd like to stick with the original.

Castle panic goes up to 6, but requires a minimum of 2.

Betrayal requires 3-6 players. (Betrayal at House on the Hill could feature another interesting gameplay element: Everyone starts out on the Village team, and then after a certain event occurs 1 or 2 players become Mafia members.)

Settlers of Cataan is usually played with 3 or 4 people.

Omfg I absolutely love the ideaof everyone starting as villagers and some turning mafia, thats awesome!

i do have to say, i love the idea of playing gloom, and castle panic (although im not sure how we'd translate that.) I like the LOTR thing tho.

I still am mostly in favor of doing an ATLAB theme RP. 
I discussed this with Kyra once, about doing an arena battle between benders. i think this would be pretty cool, especially if we were all RPing it out in a strict RP forum, no OOC at all (they would be in a separate thread).

I would very much enjoy that. even if there were battle rules like in LOK, that'd be very fun to RP.
