My-HiME Mafia - Signups CLOSED

Welcome to My-HiME mafia!
(HiME: Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment)
Working together, the HiME have managed to put an end to the evil plans of SEARRS organization. However, their true destiny is only now revealed to them...
As the HiME star is approaching Earth, the 12 HiME are destined to fight one another and defeat each other's magical creature, their "Child". According to the legend, only the powers that the victorious HiME will gain, will be able to stop the star from its destructive path.
When a HiME is defeated, the person most dear to them vanishes. In order to protect their loved one, they must embrace their tragic fate...
Most of you refuse to accept this. There's definitely another way! If you work together, you can overcome this! However, a few of you don't believe in the other HiME's idealism and are not the least bit willing to take their chances. For their loved one's sake, they have taken matters in their own hands.
I would like to take to the time to remind players that the theme is used to give the game a little flavor. If you end up being a character who is a villain or is associated with a villain like character, that does not necessarily mean you are mafia.
Also, to any new players if you haven't read the General Game Rules please make sure you do as well as the Forum Rules and CoC. If you have yet to 'R&U' to Rule #19 in the General Game Rules, please do so before playing.
- ROLES AND HOW MANY:
- Cop: Investigates one person every night. 1 Cop.
- Bodyguard: Can choose to guard one person at night. If somebody tries to kill that person... 50% chance the bodyguard will kill the attacker. 50% chance the bodyguard will die in place of the target. 1 Bodyguard.
- Mafia: Kills a villager every night. Wins if they outnumber villagers during the day. # Various depending on the number of players. # Various depending on the number of players.
- Framer*: Frames one person every night. For that night, the target will appear guilty to cops. 1 Framer
*Framer will be a part of the Mafia team (participates in killings, appears as guilty to cop).
- SOME QUICK REMINDERS:
- Cops: You may hint at who you find innocent or guilty if you have been outed, but you can not flat out say who is innocent or guilty.
- Ghosts: Ghosts are players who were killed at night or was lynched during the day. You may leave your last words with a vague hint to who is mafia, but you can not flat out say who is mafia. Also NO POSTING AFTER YOUR LAST WORDS. If you post after your last words you may lose points for cheating.
- Mafia, Cop, Framer and Bodyguard Votes: All votes from power roles are REQUIRED to be sent to the Game Host via PM. No outside contact with the Game Host on your vote.
- Lynches: Lynch votes will continue to be posted in the game thread.
Sign-ups close on September 7, 8:00am Eastern Time.

But isn't the bodyguard kinda better than doctor? 50% of the time they play doctor, protecting those they've requested. The other 50% they end up killing the mafia who attacked. It's more like a powered up doctor!
However, when they end up killing the mafia, what happens to the person that was targeted? Would it be both the targetee AND the mafia that would die? Or would the bodyguard protect AND kill...?

50% of the time they kill mafia, but the other 50%, they die in place of their protectee.
So they do have a chance of being better than the doctor, but they also have a chance of dying when the normal doctor wouldn't. Luck of the coin toss ^^

Hey, Light.. I'm going to have to drop out of this. tomrrow and sunday i work 8am-4pm but on sunday I'm going to a concert in the evening so i will not be enough to play, and i don't want to hold everyone up on that day.

OK BACK TO PLAN A EVERYONE. Framer IS mafia (otherwise, with 7 players, they could just come out Day 1 and win if mafia killed successfully on Night 1).
