So, who all has suggestions that they would like to share with us? We are just starting out, and I know that some people here have better experience with running a forum than we do. Any advice, tips, or suggestions are completely welcome!

Here's a suggestion,and also a question for everyone.

Is the number of posts per page good? I think it's set to 15. GC is set to 20 or 25 I believe.
Should we increase it?

If we increased it could make it easier to find posts during mafia games.

I like it at 15. but I wouldn't be opposed to 20.

I think I will try it at 20

Could someone create a thread on how to make a private forum for Mafia members?

I'm slightly confused. Did you want to make your own forum or something?

Ah, I found the website I was talking about; Quicktopic. In previous games, I know that website has been used for Mafia members to have private conversations. I think it would be useful to link to that website on one of the guides for GMs.

I was unaware that the no-editing rule applied to hosts, but AgentAyu corrected me in-game today. I was really surprised that Hosts weren't allowed to edit posts, as I'm pretty sure that wasn't a rule in the Galaxy Cauldron site.

I checked the Game Rules thread and it said:

3. Don't edit or delete your posts.

I think it should be made a lot clearer that this applies to hosts as well.

Apparently this isn't the case; perhaps the rules should be edited for clarity anyway?

Yeah, there are things you can't edit that should be obvious like changing people's roles, pushing games through without all votes, or blatantly saying what someone's role is, but other than that, fixing spelling mistakes, etc are fine.

Is it possible that sign ups can last longer than 24 hours? I know we're a small site and we don't have many members at the moment, but it would be nice to have sign ups for at least two days. That way you know for sure you can play a game. Plus it could help members who live in different time zones.

I know this may be up to the host, but I thought I make this suggestion. Because today I wasnt sure if I could join the latest game, but I didnt want to miss out so I joined. Guess that is my own fault, but still.

Yeah we can start doing that. Sign ups actually rarely last 24 hours even.

Would it be possible to create threads for players who have died in-game to comment on the events of the game? I'm not sure if Forumotion has the option to keep certain threads only visible to certain players, but if that is an option, I think such a thread would be fun to make.

I know one of my favorite parts about playing Werewolf offline is running out after the day phase starts to comment on the events of the night with other dead players. Sometimes leaving the living players wondering why all the ghosts in the room just ran out laughing.

While I like this idea, I would find this a little hard to keep track of who is allowed access to a thread and who wouldn't with various games going on at once in the future. I think it should be up to the game host if they would want to set up a separate QuickTopic for ghosts.
