World Of Warcraft Mafia - Signups!

World Of Warcraft Mafia!
Northshire has become a place where all races of The Alliance can seek assistance with training, gain wisdom, or simply solitude. We enter at a time of such assistance, the Northshire valley is under attack from packs of wild wolves, diabolical Kobolds, and savage Orcs!
And yet in the midst of all this, the Northshire Abbey continues to be a stronghold for peace and learning in the greater Elwynn area.
The Abbey is at this very moment hosting a wide variety of adventurers seeking everything from personal glory, greater self discovery, and simple retirement.
But wait! Something is amiss in the peaceful little area of Northshire, a mystery is afoot! One of the Abbeys most powerful and respected monks was found brutally murdered in the stables outside the Abbey.
Is one or more of these stalwart adventurers to blame for this atrocity? Only further investigation will tell.
- Reminders:
- - Cops: You may hint at who you find innocent or guilty if you have been outed, but you can not flat out say who is innocent or guilty.
- Ghosts: Ghosts are players who were killed at night or was lynched during the day. You may leave your last words with a vague hint to who is mafia, but you can not flat out say who is mafia. Also NO POSTING AFTER YOUR LAST WORDS. If you post after your last words you may lose points for cheating.
- Mafia, Cop, Monk and Doctor Votes: All votes from power roles are REQUIRED to be sent to the Game Host via PM. No outside contact with the Game Host on your vote.
- Lynches: Lynch votes will continue to be posted in the game thread.
- Roles, and how many:
- - Mafia: Kills a villager every night. Wins if they outnumber villagers during the day. # Various depending on the number of players.
- Cop: Investigates one person every night. 1 Cop.
- Weak Doctor: Protects one person from being killed every night. However, if they accidentally protect a mafia aligned person, they die. 1 Weak Doctor.
- Monk: Votes do not count during the day. Can save one person each night. Saved person is also unlynchable the next day. Wins if he saves 2 people. Wins if no one dies for 2 day and nights. 1 Monk.
Signups will last until 12am PST, 08/25/13.

I'm in! I have a few questions about the monk role, though:
Can a Monk save himself?
Does the Monk get partial points for winning with the Village/ Mafia?
About the "unlynchable" aspect. Let's say you save a person, but they weren't the ones targeted by the mafia. Are they still unlynchable the next day?- Monk: Votes do not count during the day. Can save one person each night. Saved person is also unlynchable the next day. Wins if he saves 2 people. Wins if no one dies for 2 day and nights. 1 Monk.

I have never played as monk before, so I will give you my interpretation of the role.
I would say that the only case where a person would become unlynchable would be if they were targeted AND saved both in the same night.
Monk will not die if he protects mafia.
Monk is an unaligned third party role, so he either wins or loses by himself.
Again, this is how I interpreted the role. So unless someone else has actually played as a monk and can confirm/deny, we will play it like this.

Alright, I like your interpretation. It feels like it would be easier for the monk to win if anyone they targeted became unlynchable the next day, regardless of if they were actually saved from the mafia or not. However, I feel like this could make the Monk character overpowered. I guess the only way to find out is to play with this character a few times!

Yeah I felt that if the monk was able to basically protect anyone they wished once a day that she (because who are we kidding.) would be way too strong, especially in these smaller games.

Hosting is a lot of fun!
I messed up a few times hosting my first game, but luckily not on the main thread. (I PM'd Wedding Peach and thought she was Card Captor Sakura... I got the player/role right, but the character wrong. OTL)
